Antwerp's nightlife is the reputed to be the best in Belgium, so try and stay on a Friday or Saturday night, and enjoy a night out on the town. De Vagant - a popular and typical Belgian pub - Antwerp's version of a shot bar - specialises in 100 different flavours of Genievre gin - shots as lethal as tequila. Reyndersstraat 25; (00 32 (0)3233 1538)
Kulminator - Atmospheric beer bar, with wooden tables and a choice of more than 500 local beers.
Soeki – a more laid back mood at this 70s style lounge which serves a selection of tapas and chilled Cava while the DJ plays a collection of reggae and mambo music. Volkstraat 21; (00 32 (0)3238 7505),
Cafe Hopper - the city's favourite jazz bar – usually packed till the early hours.
