The train station (gare SNCF) and bus station (gare routière) are side by side off the boulevard Carnot (part of the ring road). Not all buses use the main station, though, and if you're heading for the shopping outlets or the countryside it's best to check first with the tourist office near the station at or the town centre branch.

By car

If you are staying in Troyes during your visit, then a car really isn’t necessary, however, if you’re planning to travel around the Champagne region, then by car is the best way to go. With a plethora of towns, villages, markets, vineyards and châteaux to visit, driving allows you flexibility in your schedule. Cars are easily hired and travel by cross channel ferry is usually a popular option.

By Bus

There is a regular and frequent buses operating in the city and tickets can be purchased from the driver. The main bus station is next to the train station, and buses from here run to various towns within the Champagne region as well as further afield. Journeys to Reims take approximately 2 hours by bus.

By Train

The train station is situated on the ring road, just outside the old town, on the Avenue Maréchal Joffre. Paris can be reached in about 1½ hours from Troyes.
