The beautiful Calvados coast starts at Honfleur and ends at Cabourg. The stretch, known as Côte Fleurie (Floral Coast) has wide sandy beaches, and notable historic towns such as Caen, Lisieux and Bayeux.
It is also however where the D-Day landings took place in 1944, and the remaining bunkers and the military cemeteries bear witness to those dramatic events.
