The best shopping areas are found in the city and port of Caen. Here you will find new shopping developments and an array of stylish boutiques. Caen is also great for collectables and antiquities. Bayeux also has a great selection of food, clothes and souvenir shops. Boulangeries selling the lovely fresh baguettes are usually open daily from 7am, perfect for breakfast delights. Grocery stores usually open at 8am, boutiques, no later than 10am. All shops usually close for lunch for two hours from noon and afternoon opening lies between 2pm and 7.30pm. Most shops are closed all day on Mondays.
