Unlike many Western European countries, there is no law regulating the hours of trade, it’s up to the shop owner to decide. However, most shops are open Monday-Friday 10am-6pm, and Saturday until 3pm, with most supermarkets open from 8am up until 6pm or 7pm and some are open on Sundays.

Please note that Krakow is not a good place to shop for clothes and shoes as there are virtually no designer shops or Western-style chain stores.
