Krakow - To See & Do

The city of Krakow sits on the Vistula River and for five centuries was the capital of Poland, until this authority passed to Warsaw. As one of the few Polish cities to be saved from major destruction during many wars, it has been able to preserve its monuments and its “anti-quarian” atmosphere. It was included on the first UNESCO World Heritage List created in 1978.

The audioguides cost about €15 (£10) a day from tourist offices on Piazzale Roma and San Marco all’Ascensione. Further details and advance bookings are available at www.planetaudioguide.com The guide is available in English, Italian, German and Spanish.
