Once a peaceful fishing village, Arromanches became one of the main areas of Normandy beach used for the Allied landings. Famous for it artificial harbour, Mulberry harbour, Arromanches is an ideal location for those exploring the battlefield and cemeteries of Europe.

Arromanches was home to the famous artificial Mulberry harbour that was crucial for the success of the D-Day landings in Normandy.

Situated on the Normandy coast, famous for the D-Day landings, Arromanches is not only perfectly situated to visit other battlefield sites of Normandy but is home to a fascinating museum and impressive 360 degree, 9 screen cinema, showing wartime footage.

It is in close proximity to other towns such as Bayeux, which boasts excellent weekly markets of fresh meats, cheese and fish alongside lovely restaurants of French Norman style cooking
