Tallinn offers a variety of entertainment with something to suit every taste. Most nightlife is contained in the area in and around the compact Old Town meaning you can wander around the various venues to see which has the most interesting crowds and music. There is usually a lively atmosphere 7 nights a week with the weekends becoming even livelier, with visitors often attracted by the cheap prices. Many bars have DJ’s and/or live music, and many also offer food to complete an evening’s entertainment.

There are numerous nightclubs throughout the city, open every night except Monday.

The Estonian National Symphony Orchestra and the National Opera attract many well-known conductors and performers from abroad, and there is also an impressive choice of chamber music, often taking place in the mediaeval churches and halls.
