Since achieving its independence in 1991, Tallinn has become a great place for shopping, with visitors attracted by the low prices, the international chains of shops, designer boutiques and modern shopping malls as well as the more traditional markets. Most shops are open from 10am – 6pm Monday to Saturday. Some supermarkets are also open on Sundays.
