Buses, Trolleybuses, Mini-buses & Trams

Bus, trolley and tram tickets can be purchased at news-stands for EEK 10 or from the driver for EEK 15. You can also by a 10-ticket package for EEK 80. If you need to buy a ticket from the driver, enter at the front door. You must then punch your ticket immediately after entering at a machine located throughout the bus, trolley or tram.

For mini-buses, you pay the driver as you get in.

Taxis

Taxis can be hailed on the street or ordered by phone at no extra cost. There are numerous taxi ranks throughout the city centre and all taxis are metered and should have the name of the driver or the company clearly displayed. The minimum fare is EEK 35 and the price per kilometre is EEK 9.

Bicycles

Cycling is not recommended in the Old Town as it is quite hilly and has cobble-stoned streets. Outside of the Old Town is easier, although drivers are not always cycle-friendly.
