Prague can be a destination for romance with its mix of architectural styles. You will be impressed by the skyline of gothic spires and network of narrow cobbled streets, but also by the excellent beers on offer which can still be found served in traditional pubs, a growing number of top class restaurants, dance clubs and trendy bars.

More beer is drunk in the Czech republic per capita (male) than anywhere else in the world. The current record for beer drinking is held by Jan Honza Zampa who can drink a litre of beer in 4.11 seconds!

• Out and About - on foot is the best way to see the key sites in the main historic areas so no need to keep paying out for taxis. The public transport system is however excellent value and useful to use when moving between historic areas.

• There is an excellent range of historical buildings and monuments reflecting a variety of architectural styles; Gothic, Medieval, Art Nouveau, Renaissance and Baroque.

• Café Culture – there are numerous coffee houses serving delightful brews and cakes scattered throughout the main tourist areas which allows for a quick rest between sight seeing.
