Ghent has a wide selection of old and new buildings, monuments and sights, which co-exist side by side. Splendid baroque architecture dominates the city and narrow alleys between medieval buildings give the visitor a fantastic sense of history as well as spectacular photo opportunities.

With many of the main sights in the city centre, it’s easy to find your way around on foot, and there is an excellent public transport system, which will take you to the sights further afield.
