Dunkerque and Calais in France, and Zeebrugge on Belgium’s coast are the nearest passenger ferry ports.

If you are travelling by car, there are several options. You can either take the sea crossing from Dover to either Calais or Dunkerque  (sailing time between 1 – 2 hours) or through the Channel Tunnel (with Eurotunnel) and drive north from there; alternatively, you can take the ferry from Hull to Zeebrugge (journey time around 11 hours).
