Incorporating the Costa de Almeria, Granada, Lecrin Valley, Neria, Frigiliana & Axarquia
Eastern Andalucia is less well known than other areas of southern Spain but its fantastic climate and varied landscape make it a great choice for a holiday. On the unspoilt Costa Almeria annual rainfall is less than 200mm producing an arid, desert-like landscape whilst the Sierra Nevada near Granada are Spain’s highest mountains. The ancient city of Granada itself should not be missed with its old Moorish medina “the Albaicin” and stunning “Alhambra”, a series of 14th century palaces and gardens built by the Nazari Dynasty.
