Liguiria is the Italian Riviera with lively beach resorts, rugged mountains and hilltop villages.

The Liguria region is made up of four provinces: Genova, Imperia, La Spezia and Savona and borders Monaco and South East France. The largest city is Genoa, which is a fascinating destination with historic palazzo, interesting museums and a wide selection of bars and restaurants. In the surrounding area there are many delightful seaside towns and villages dotted throughout the hillsides which are worth exploring. The dramatic scenery is some of the prettiest in Italy; the Cinque Terre is a particularly popular stretch of coastline incorporating five fishing villages and many good walks.
