A radical history and an affluent present collide in pretty little Zürich. Although better known for its wealth, this is a town steeped in intellectual tradition – James Joyce wrote Ulysses here and Lenin stayed a while and read Marx. Even less well known is that Zürich boasts Switzerland’s most vibrant clubbing scene. It’s a well-groomed, five-star city where both the rich and the rebellious seem to feel equally at home.
