Dublin - Getting Around

Most of the sights are within one square mile but there are some interesting spots for which use of public transport is preferable. Fortunately, there is a comprehensive bus network and, whilst no underground metro rail system exists, the light DART railway has good coverage and frequent services between 6.30am-11.30pm.

This system is also a great way of connecting with the coastal outskirts so you don’t have to stay in the city.

Taxis come in all shapes and sizes and have an illuminated TAXI sign on the roof when available. However, they are not prevalent, especially after 11pm when you may have a long wait at a taxi rank.
