The world’s most northerly capital city, Reykjavik is the gateway to some of the most spectacular, natural marvels known to man, with bubbling geysers, immense glaciers, spectacular waterfalls and natural geothermal springs, all within easy reach of the city.

Iceland, which lies on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, was formed by the drifting apart of the American and eurasion tectonic plates.
