Berlin has gone a long way to making the city more accessible to visitors with disabilities. Maps of the city transport network show which S-Bahn and U-Bahn stations have wheelchair access and buses are fitted with wide rear doors, with some even having lifts and safety straps, for wheelchairs. Quite a few of the museums have wheelchair access, lifts and disabled toilets.
For other information for those of you that are travelling with a disability, detailed information can be found on the Directgov website and also the ABTA website
