A beautiful 17th century mansion on the banks of the Loire

Just a 5 minute walk from Saumur's old town lies the Anne d’Anjou, a private mansion built in the 18th century, carefully restored retaining many of its traditional features.

The historic façade leads into the reception area with magnificent staircase crowned by a trompe-l’oeil ceiling. The guest rooms are luxuriously decorated some with views of the Loire, others facing the hotel’s charming interior courtyard. The stylish restaurant ‘Les Ménestrels’ offers excellent cuisine and a superb choice of wines in a lovely beamed room.

A bottle of Langlois Cremant de Loire Brut, a bottle each of Saumur blanc and Saumur rouge and a visit to the local wine house Langlois Chateau are included in all packages (accommodation and transport) booked for this hotel.

Just five minutes walk from the old town of Saumur, the hotel Anne D'Anjou overlooks the river and has a view of the château above. Saumur is a busy town spread across both banks of the Loire, with splendid views from the impressive chateau. This part of the Loire is particularly famous for its excellent wines, grown on the banks of the Loire, and is also well known for its mushroom caves and troglodyte houses built into limestone cliffs.
