The ancient coaching house has been brilliantly converted into a homely and rustic hotel with modern, comfortable rooms.

A guide book and a bottle of Champagne per room are included in all packages (accommodation and transport)booked at this hotel. Accommodation only bookings receive a bottle of champagne in their room.

La Chaumière is ideally an ideal base for exploring the splendid Route de Champagne, where you will receive a warm welcome from the wine growers, can sample the bubbly and enjoy the landscape of gentle hills and valleys covered in rows of vines. Local tourist offices supply lists of wine growers and champagne cellars that are open to the public, where tours are often held to explain how the famous wine is made. Also situated on the Route de Champagne and worth a visit is the Château de Cirey, home of Voltaire.
