The short break specialist Great Escapes releases its new Autumn/Winter 2009/10 brochure this week, offering holidays based in Northern France and Belgium. Highlights of the new programme include:
New 4* Hotel in a Converted Church in Mechelen (page 14)
New for the Autumn/Winter season is a unique and 4* hotel situated within a converted church in the centre of Mechelen. Recently opened, Martin’s Patershof is full of character with many original features retained. The reception is in the nave, the breakfast room is set in the choir and there are stained glass windows, vaulted ceilings and columns throughout which add to its very special atmosphere. Chateau Returns to Programme, Renamed Hostellerie de Le Wast (page 30)
Hostellerie de Le Wast, a small 19th century mansion hotel, returns to the Great Escapes brochure after an absence of a year. Formerly Chateau des Tourelles, the property’s former owners have returned and the restaurant is back to the excellent standards for which the hotel was renowned. The Hotel de Flandre is a stylish new addition to the Great Escapes brochure.
